The project VQTS II built on the results of the successful, award-wining project VQTS (2003-2006) and aimed to further develop the principles and methods for designing a Competence Matrix.
Furthermore, the project investigated how the VQTS model can be used to identify the overlapping areas of qualifications from higher education and vocational education and training. The results of the project are considered to enhance permeability in the educational system. The VQTS II project was coordinated by 3s and includes partners from Austria (HTL St. Pölten and Technikum Wien), Germany, Malta, Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Slovenia.
