Along with 3s, nine additional VETAS project partners from six European countries seeked to set up a European-wide framework of VET stakeholders in the automotive sector.
This project’s main activities included creating a database on education and training in the automotive sector, monitoring and evaluating the automotive sector’s training approaches at the national and European levels, and identifying best practice models. These activities should contribute to developing generally accepted training standards. These standards both enhanced the employees’ mobility and increased the enterprises’ flexibility to recruit properly trained staff at the appropriate time. The project was coordinated by DEKRA Akademie, Germany.
