Cedefop has assigned to GHK Consulting Ltd (BE) to undertake a comparative analysis of certification mechanisms and competence requirements for in-company trainers in 10 EU Member States (Austria, Cyprus, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Romania and the UK).
The methodology for carrying out this assignment entailed to: (1) identify and analyse a pool of competence frameworks and standards for trainers working in the field of CVT; and (2) following the comparative analysis, GHK elaborated a proposal for a competence framework for trainers, which served as a reference at EU level. The study also identified key policy messages, critical success factors and recommendations related to competences and professional development needs of in-company trainers, and outlined possible lines of action for initiatives at local, regional, national and sector levels.
3s was contracted by GHK for contributing to this study by identifying and analysing relevant competence profiles from Austria and Germany and by contributing to the preparation of a proposal for a European competence framework for in-company trainers.
