Development and testing of a tool to measure quality culture in schools
Within the framework of Q-KULT, the participating partners dealt intensively with the topic "quality culture" and in detail with the influence of (school or quality) cultural aspects on the implementation and stabilisation of QM systems. The project examined in particular the following questions:
- Are there any beneficial and obstructive aspects of a school or quality culture, and how do they affect the implementation and stabilisation of QM systems?
- Can we develop an instrument (tool) with which it is possible to capture aspects of school quality culture?
- Can we derive support measures and recommendations for the successful implementation of QM systems in vocational schools and at the level of vocational education and training systems from the results generated with this tool?
- The terminological concepts hitherto used for ‘quality culture’ are unsatisfactory. What terminology can be used in the project?
The project focused on the development of a diagnostic tool for the collection of school quality culture, which was also tested within the framework of the project. 3s research laboratory was a project partner in this project coordinated by ARQA-VET, the Austrian Reference Point for Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training. The other project partners were:
- Germany: Senator for Education and Science, Bremen, Department of Quality Development and Standard Assurance (DE)
- Switzerland: University of Applied Sciences Northwestern, Centre for School Quality and Educational Organisation of the University of Education (CH)
- Denmark: Commercial Scholes Silkeborg Business College (DK)
- Netherlands: ROC Guild Opleidingen (NL)
