This study addressed questions relevant for the further development of ESCO, the European multilingual classification of Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations, in particular the development of its qualifications pillar.
Graduate survey for all study programmes (Diploma and Bachelor degrees) and graduates of the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna.
The study (coordinated by the Austrian Institute of Technology – AIT) examined under the assumption of progressive automation and digitisation in the Austrian mobility sector:
– How employment in the Austrian mobility sector (employment level, qualification requirements, job profiles) could develop by 2040?
– What opportunities and challenges can be expected?

The overall purpose of this study was to investigate the implementation of VET policy priorities, as defined in the 2010 Bruges communiqué and the 2015 Riga conclusions in the EU-28, Iceland and Norway and to contribute to continuous learning in VET policy development.
The Recommendation of the European Council on validation of non-formal and informal learning calledon EU Member States to introduce arrangements for the validation of non-formal and informal learning by 2018 and to submit national reports documenting the state of implementation of the Recommendation.
As part of the implementation of the strategy for validation of non-formal and informal learning in Austria, an online portal was developed to provide the general public with comprehensible information on available validation measures and their position in the qualification system as well as on accompanying measures, e.g. advisory services or training measures.
The purpose of the contract was to facilitate the development of methodologies for comparison of national VET qualifications.
