ReferNet Austria 2012

The European Network of Reference and Expertise in Vocational Education and Training (in short ReferNet) was set up by Cedefop (European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training), in oder to meet the rising demand for information which is required for the comparison of current developments and political procedures in EU member countries.

ECVAET – ECVET in event engineering

The ECVAET project aims at enhancing the transparency of VET systems in the field of event engineering. On the basis of the VQTS model a competence matrix for the field of event engineering and a competence matrix on aspects of security will be developed.

Formative evaluation of instruments employed for the promotion of individual career advancement

The unit ‘Förderung beruflicher Entwicklungschancen’ is one of the Wiener ArbeitnehmerInnen Förderungsfonds (waff) main organisational units responsible for a wide range of initiatives aiming at the support of individual career development of Vienna’s population. The portfolio includes various career counselling programmes, schemes for co-funding of further education and training, information sources and the steering and administration of temporary projects aiming at the support of career development for hard-to-reach target groups.

Evaluation PISA PLUS

PISA PLUS – first introduced in 2004 – covers a range of co-funding opportunities for vocational further education and training for various groups disadvantaged in Vienna’s labour market. While participants are free to choose among the available educational opportunities, co-funding is complemented by and bound to a counselling process on individual career development opportunities.

External evaluation of the project „EQF implementation: impact of national qualifications systems’ processes (EQF-PROQS)“

The aim of this project was to elaborate the influences of the processes of designing, and provision of qualifications, assessment of competences, awarding of qualifications as well as the impact of socioeconomic, institutional and cultural context of these processes on the comparability and compatibility of selected qualifications in the construction, hospitality and metalworking sectors.
