The study aimed at enhancing the EU-wide knowledge on the potential of ICT and Open Educational Resources (OER) for inclusive and equitable education systems, to inform future work under the strategic framework for European cooperation ‘Education and Training 2020’ (ET 2020), including peer learning and exchange of good practices. 

The EU Work Plan foresees the establishment of an Expert Group on Human Resources Development in Sports.

The main objectives of HiVETnet are to increase transparency in higher VET and promote more parity of esteem between higher academic education and higher VET. 

The permeability within the national education system when it comes to essential interfaces of the Austrian qualifications landscape was to be increased by improving the mutual recognition of learning outcomes already acquired.

The development of a national valdidation strategy was done in accordance with the recommendation of the European Council for the validation of non-formal and informal learning (2012/C 398/01) and by implementing measure 10.3 – Strategy for lifelong learning in Austria (LLL:2020) from 20 December 2012.

Doctoral training acts as a bridge between the world of higher education and research. It is one of the most advanced and specialised forms of training available at higher education institutions, and it is primarily based on original research and working at the frontier of knowledge.

3s research laboratory is taking part in the ERASMUS+ project ‘Certi4Train’ with the objective to develop a European CVET trainer competence matrix and a European ISO standardized CVET trainer certification.

In January 2012, the Austrian National Agency for Lifelong Learning set up an ECVET contact point. At the same time, a team of seven national ECVET experts has been appointed for two years and the initiative continues in 2015. Karin Luomi-Messerer is part of this team.

The purpose of this assignment was to consolidate and update the information on the ‘European Inventory of Validation of non-formal and informal Learning’.

The ‘Working group on VET’ belongs to the new generation of Working Groups under the ET 2020 strategic framework for European cooperation in education and training.
