Ongoing quality assurance through B&A Monitoring for the University of Applied Science Technikum Vienna

With the B&A Monitoring (an integrated quality assurance system of requirements and acceptance of study programs at universities of applied sciences) 3s offers an instrument that allows universities of applied sciences to advance the quality assurance of their study programs and to establish measures of quality assurance for the universities of applied sciences sector in Austria.

In the year 2003 3s Consulting Ltd. in collaboration with the university of applied science Technikum Vienna developed a monitoring system to assure the quality of the offered study programs. During the first monitoring program (runtime 2003 to 2008) all diploma degree programs were transferred into the Bachelor’s and Master’s system. Just recently the extension of the Monitoring by 3s until 2013 has been decided. Due to the numerous study programs (11 Bachelor and 15 Master degree programs towards 10 diploma degree programs in 2003) the focus of the Monitoring now lies on study areas and the institution FH Technikum Vienna itself. The Monitoring includes analysis of requirements and acceptance in the course of re-accreditation through the Austrian University Council of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschulrat), graduates surveys and annual reports for the university of applied science (FH) Technikum Vienna.
