NQF Tourism – Preparation of the alignment of qualifications in the tourism sector to the National Qualifications Framework

The consultation document for the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) in Austria suggested using the descriptions of European Qualifications Framework (EQF) levels as a starting point to describe additional characteristics of the Austrian qualifications levels.

In this way, the table of descriptors for the Austrian NQF was developed. These additional characteristics were developed in working groups with members from one field but from different segments of the educational system. This procedure was specified and tested within this pilot project. A group of sector experts cooperated in preparing the future alignment of tourism sector qualifications to the NQF.
