Initial VET qualifications at EQF levels 3 and 4
The key objective of this study was to contribute to better understanding of the comparability of qualifications from initial vocational education and training (IVET), assigned to levels 3 and 4 of the European qualifications framework (EQF) through the respective national qualifications frameworks (NQFs).
It mapped the qualifications linked to the EQF levels 3 and 4, collected and analysed evidence on how learning outcomes approaches have been used for assigning initial vocational qualifications to NQF/EQF levels. The analysis not only focused on technical evidence, but also took into account broader social and economic contexts in which qualifications are embedded.
The project was coordinated by 3s and carried out in cooperation with Ockham IPS (NL) and IBE (PL) as well as national experts from various countries.
