The study addressed the need to provide a comprehensive analysis of different financing models of apprenticeship schemes in Europe.
The objective of the study was to:
(a) provide a comprehensive overview of financing arrangements for apprenticeships in the EU countries;
(b) elaborate typology of financing arrangements for apprenticeships; map EU countries according to this typology;
(c) analyse performance of the financing arrangements for apprenticeships;
(d) and provide recommendations how to improve effectiveness of financing arrangements for apprenticeships.
The project was coordinated by 3s (Mariya Dzhengozova, Jörg Markowitsch), carried out in cooperation with IKEI Research and Consultancy (ES) as well as Visionary Analytics (LT) and several country researchers.
The project results were used to develop Cedefop’s online database containing information on the financing of apprenticeships in the EU Member States.
