Based on a series of projects, CEDEFOP (European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training) has established a database on cost-sharing schemes for adult learning across the EU Member States (reference period 2010-2012).
Within the current project, a network of national experts was in charge of updating and completing the information on cost-sharing schemes. Nine types of schemes are covered (training funds, tax incentives for enterprises, tax incentives for individuals, grants for enterprises, grants for individuals, loans for individuals, saving schemes for individuals, educational leave schemes, pay back clauses). For the new data collection (reference year 2014), an improved approach for presenting data on the web was developed, supporting comparative analysis of the data across countries, types of schemes and key target groups.
The project was coordinated by 3s (Günter Hefler).
