The European Inventory on Validation of non-formal and informal learning was an ongoing project to collect information on current practice in the validation of non-formal and informal learning from 32 European countries.
The country updates were complemented by a number of case studies and thematic reports, which provided more in-depth analysis on questions and initiatives of interest. A final overview report also provides cross-country analysis of patterns and trends across the countries covered by the study. By publishing these outputs online, it was intended to share this information with a wide range of audiences, both from the policy and practice areas. GHK Consulting Ltd (BE) has been appointed by the European Commission to undertake the 2010 update of the European Inventory and has contracted 3s for updating the Austrian chapter and developing a case study.
