EQF-adapted educational elements in a predictable framework of change (EQF Predict)

The only way to promote an instrument such as the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) is its successful application. Many different perspectives exist on the proper use of the EQF and the future design or modifications of educational instruments related to the EQF.

The project ‘EQF Predict’ aimed to identify the predictable framework of change and, in this framework, to describe possible EQF-adapted curricula, HR development measures, assessment approaches, legal regulations, certificates or consultancy services. These descriptions were supported as far as possible by pilot projects. These examples of EQF use would simultaneously provided orientation to the strategic aims of the EQF and the issues of educational practice. The project was coordinated by DEKRA Akademie, Germany.

One of the major deliverables of the EQF Predict project was the EQF Adaptation Support Portal. It was initiated and developed in order to support professions in the field of vocational education to adapt key education and training elements, such as legal regulations, occupational profiles, curricula, education and training programmes, assessment procedures or certificates and quality assurance measures, to EQF requirements. The portal is avaiable at www.eqf-support.eu.
