As a Transfer of Innovation project, ECVET-Tour was based on the VQTS project’s results.

This model shaped the qualitative interviews used to identify and describe ‘key competences’ related to vital work areas of hotel- and restaurant-assistant and cook. This project sought to develop a methodology for recognising formal, non-formal and informal acquired competences, enhance permeability between education and training systems within a country and facilitate transnational mobility. ECVET-Tour was part of the process for implementing a transparent credit system for vocational education and training (ECVET) in Europe. The project was coordinated by the University of Salzburg.
