With this assignment, taking the form of a mapping study, the European Commission aimed at taking stock of activities in the field of international cooperation in VET between European VET-systems and third countries as well as of activities at international level, under the umbrella of organisations such as ILO, World Bank, OECD, UNESCO etc.

With this assignment, taking the form of a mapping study, the European Commission aimed at taking stock of activities in the field of international cooperation in VET between European VET-systems and third countries as well as of activities at international level, under the umbrella of organisations such as ILO, World Bank, OECD, UNESCO etc.
 

 
Ultimately, the aim of the study was to help building knowledge on International Cooperation in VET, in order to support achieving the Bruges Communiqué’s* strategic vision. 3s was providing expertise to the Commission together with a team of experts from IFC GHK Consulting Ltd (BE) and DTI (DK).

The project was commissioned by the European Commission within a framework contract.
*The Bruges Communiqué refers to a European Commission strategy to promote vocational education and training in Europe.
