In response to the strong interest of education researchers both in European Union countries and internationally, Cedefop is organising its 3rd International Workshop on Curriculum Innovation and Reform: Changing Assessment to Improve Learning Outcomes in 26-27 April 2012 in Thessaloniki, Greece.
In January 2012, the Austrian National Agency for Lifelong Learning set up an ECVET contact point. At the same time, a team of seven national ECVET experts has been appointed – Karin Luomi-Messerer being one of them!

More than one year after they started, the 2nd generation of ECVET pilot projects will meet on 26-27 April in Rome. The main theme to be discussed will be the assessment of learning outcomes.
During the final conference of "first generation" ECVET pilot projects, which was held on 22 and 23 February 2012 in Brussels, the experience and outcomes from these 11 projects were presented and discussed. The following products provide a good overview of these outcomes:

As part of the Europe 2020 flagship ‘An Agenda for New Skills and Jobs’, the EU in partnership with Member States, social partners, the labour market, education and training institutions, is currently working on the so-called ‘EU Skills Panorama’ – with 3s providing expertise!
The European Commission has declared Expero2Eu, a Leonardo da Vinci Transfer of Innovation project, to belong to the best projects of 2008 for its contribution to developing the quality and attractiveness of VET systems. Among others, Expero2Eu is based on the results of the VQTS project, which was coordinated by 3s.
