On July 12-13, 2012, a workshop/meeting in the context of the project TAMTAM took place in Brussels, organized by KCH (NL) and 3s.

The presentation documents from the 3rd Austrian Conference on Vocational Education and Training Research, which took place on July 5th and 6th 2012 on the premises of Steyr’s ‘Museum Arbeitswelt’, are now available online. 

Their contribution is titled ‘The qualification-providing enterprise? Support for formal adult education in small and medium-sized enterprises’.

The supplement to the EQAVET Newsletter Issue 5 (June 2012) presents the latest news on the EQAVET projects supported by the European Commission  – including VET-CERT.

VET-CERT is a two-year European project. It seeks to contribute to the further professionalisation of quality managers in vocational education and training by developing suggestions for competence profiles and supportive training programmes. The VET-CERT project is co-ordinated by ARQA-VET, the Austrian Reference Point for Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training. 3s participates as partner institution in the project.

The new European Observatory of validation of non-formal and informal learning (VNIL), the exchange platform for practitioners, policy-makers, institutions and learners, has recently been launched. The Observatory is being developed by the OBSERVAL-Net project with contributions from 3s.

The EQF (European Qualifications Framework) referencing report, which was jointly produced by the BMUKK and BMWF ministries, was submitted to the European Commission and presented in front of the EQF Advisory Group in Brussels on June 11th, 2012. This represents a significant milestone in the developement of the National Qualifications Framework in Austria.

3s participated at the EURASHE 22nd Annual Conference on "Responding to Challenges in European Higher Education: Lifelong Learning and the Welfare Society" in May 2012.

The European Commission, DG Employment, has authorized 3s together with con-sortial partners TenForce and Mondeca to develop, manage and disseminate the ESCO classification.
