Subject of the conference:
The conference provides a platform for exchange and discussion of available support structures and approaches, the needs, interests and challenges of different target groups of end-users and implementers and possible additional and future strategies to support Vocational Education and Training (VET) and HR professionals in working with theses European tools.

The EQUAL-CLASS project team is pleased to invite you to participate in the EQUALCLASS conference – ‘Engineers Qualified in Higher Non-University VET Institutions – Providing Arguments and Evidence for NQF/EQF Classification’

EUROPEA, the association of vocational education and training (VET) in the green sector, has conducted a seminar at the end of April 2014 to bring representatives of 26 European countries together for sharing experiences and opinions.

The conference with the main topic ‘Competent – for what? Life skills – career – personal development’ will take place on July, 3rd and 4th 2014 in Steyr.

This study examines qualifications at level 5 of the European qualifications framework (EQF).

Jörg Markowitsch and Günter Hefler discuss recent institutional shifts in the Austrian landscape of formal adult education in their contribution to a special issue on Second Chance Education of Magazin erwachsenenbildung. at (Issue 21/2014). 

For effectively reaching out and supporting vulnerable groups in entering adult learning, a tense network of support und counselling opportunities is required. Only by coordinating  multiple types of provision, support needed by disadvantaged adults for tackling continuously arising new challenges will reach them in time.

The publication underlines the important role played by trade unions, employers’ organisations and individual employers in supporting the Europe 2020 strategy’s goal of turning the EU into a smart, sustainable and inclusive economy capable of delivering high levels of employment, productivity and social cohesion.
