One article of the ECVET Magazine 20 (June 2014) briefly informs about the ECVET implementation process in Austria and in particular presents the activities of the national team of ECVET experts during the last two years. Karin Luomi-Messerer (3s) is part of this team.

In the frame of the conference, which will be held from 12 to 13 February 2015 in Berlin (DE), it is possible to submit contributions dealing with the following issues:
On September 2 2014 the final conference of the LLL project „Mobile learning for enhancing key competences of autonomous workers and owners of SME from the road transport sector“ will take place in Madrid. 3s research laboratory has been project partner of this multilateral Leonardo da Vinci project. Between October 2012 and September 2014 a mobile learning tool for autonomous workers and SME owners (1st to 3rd year of business) of the transport sector was developed.
The partners of the project “Developing ECVET in Practice” would like to invite you to attend a seminar in London on 25 September 2014 from 10.30am – 4pm. Including presentation of the ECVET Practical Guide "Make It Count".
The 4th Austrian Conference on Vocational Education and Training Research took place on 3 and 4 July 2014 in the picturesque town of Steyr, Upper Austria – with several contributions from 3s.
In total, three 3s research papers were presented at the conference – by Karin Luomi-Messerer, Claudia Plaimauer and Tanja Bacher. In addition, members of the 3s team also acted as chairpersons of paper sessions. Monika Auzinger and Viktor Fleischer presented the EQUAL-CLASS project within the conference’s poster session.

The present publication is one of the outcomes of the OBSERVAL-NET project, the follow-up of the OBSERVAL project. 3s was partner in both projects and 3s team members contributed to this publication.
The ECVET Tour II project organises periods of mobility between for learners in the field of tourism; destination countries are the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria.
The first learners to go abroad were five youngsters from Slovakia and the Czech Republic who spent one week at the Klessheim Tourism Schools.
The ECVET Tour II project aims to test the European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) in the restaurant and hotel industry. Several more periods of mobility are scheduled to take place this spring.
