In the European Communication ‘New Skills for New Jobs’, entrepreneurship is mentioned as one of the areas where teacher training should be focusing on. The Edison partnership aims to transfer successful experiences and strategies from Austria, Spain and Italy, to the Netherlands, Ireland and the United Kingdom.

On October 15, 2014 “Europass macht transparent” presented the results of a consultation process on the planned “European Area of Skills and Qualifications” (EASQ) at the house of the European Union in Vienna.

From September 23 to 24, 2014, the second European Business Forum on Vocational Training took place in Brussels. This time the spotlight was put on how VET providers and businesses can work in partnership to provide the skills needed to spur growth and competitiveness in Europe.

The European Conference on Educational Research 2014 took place at the University of Porto from September 2nd to 5th, 2014. 3s experts presented a paper in a Symposium on ‘Less Social Inequalities in Consequence of the Improvement Institutional Permeability in Educational Systems?’.

The event took place on September 2 2014 in the BFI Linz (Vocational Training Institute Upper Austria). Karin Luomi-Messerer was invited to give a speech.

On September 2 2014 the final conference of the LLL project „Mobile learning for enhancing key competences of autonomous workers and owners of SME from the road transport sector“ took place in Madrid. 3s research laboratory has been project partner of this multilateral Leonardo da Vinci project.
 

On a final two-day conference on 11th and 12th September in Berlin the 12 member project team of euVETsupport presented their work results to an audience of over 60 EQF and ECVET experts and users from nine European countries. 

The ECVET Tour II project will hold its final dissemination conference on 24 November 2014 in Bratislava, Slovakia. It will include a presentation of the main project outcomes. In addition, the schools which participated in the student mobilities between Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Austria, organised by the project consortium, will report on their experiences made in testing ECVET.

Europass Austria is planning an event on October 15 2014 (2-5pm) as part of the event series „Europass and transparency“. A special focus will be put on the „European Area of Skills and Qualifications“.

The ‘Make It Count’ guide is now available for download. The document  was developed within the DECViP project, in which 3s research laboratory participates as core partner.
