Janine Wulz (3s) was invited to present a paper on the social dimension of higher education at the Bologna Process Researchers’ Conference in Bukarest in November 2017.

The 32nd Austrian Journal on Adult Education “Magazin Erwachsenenbildung” includes 15 articles on commodification of adult education and discusses in depth the relation between state, market and education.

On 5 December 2017, 3s hosted the Cedefop event "Financing apprenticeships in the EU" at the Fleming’s hotel, Vienna.

The toolkit, developed by Cedefop (European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training) is based on successful VET practices in European countries, aiming for supporting young people to attain at least an upper secondary qualification.

On 23-24 November 2017, the European Commission funded Erasmus+ project CYCLE held its first partners’ meeting in Albacete (Spain).

‘Do national qualifications frameworks (NQFs) make a difference?’ was the key question raised by a  Cedefop conference on 9/10 November 2017, to which Jörg Markowitsch had been invited as a keynote speaker. 

This year’s ECVET Forum took place in St. Paul’s Bay, Malta (19-20 October 2017), and explored the role of ECVET in making vocational pathways more flexible.
