The Lifelong Learning Awards were awarded on 4 December – DISCO II was one of the nominees.
The DISCO II project, which ended in October 2012, was one of the nominees in the "Products and Outcomes" category for its innovative and sustainable character and finally took the second place.
The award ceremony took place in the festive "Großer Festsaal" hall of the Unversity of Vienna, and the awards were handed over by Claudia Schmied (Federal Minister for Education, the Arts and Culture) and Karlheinz Töchterle (Federal Minister for Science and Research).
