The Austrian Federal Ministry of Education and Women’s Affairs (BMBF) has published an invitation to participate in the development of a national strategy for the validation of non-formal and informal learning in Austria.
The prime goal is to identify competences acquired in a non-formal or formal way and make them visible. By this means, persons who obtained their skills outside the national qualification systems are supposed to improve their educational and job opportunities.
Statements to the consultation paper can be submitted until 30 September 2015.
Karin Luomi-Messerer (3s) was entrusted with the scientific monitoring of developing the national validation approach.
