The conference was organised in the framework of the Erasmus+ project ‘Promoting and Implementing Quality Assurance in Higher Vocational Education and Training’ (QA HiVETnet).
The project developed the ‘European Guidelines on Quality Assurance of Higher VET’. It focused on qualifications (EQF 5-8) that are offered outside the Bologna-structure and are developed and implemented in close cooperation with sector representatives (‘from the economy, for the economy’).
The European Guidelines reflect the specific characteristics of these qualifications and they should be used as reference points for quality assurance activities at national levels. The final version of the Guidelines were presented during the final conference of the project. This conference also marked the launch of the ‘European Network on Quality Assurance in Higher VET’. This network should guarantee the sustainability and further development of the Guidelines and foster – in the long run – the development of a ‘Higher VET Area’ in which the Guidelines are used.
3s (Karin Luomi-Messerer) was involved in the project as an external evaluator and moderated the conference. You may find the conference programme in the attachment.
