3s-working paper “Relevance of exams and certificates in vocational training”

3s has been commissioned by the TÜV NORD Group – a leading provider of certified training and certification of personnel in Germany, represented since 2010, with a branch in Austria – to conduct a study on the importance, supply and demand for certified training in Austria. In a 3s-working paper, the 3s internal study series, the results have been supplemented with additional empirical sources and have been embedded in a theoretical context.

For example, the work of 3s in a LLL2010 project on the importance of formal training for small and medium enterprises and their employees has been used as an additional source. In the 3s-working paper the role of certified training and the training process have been investigated from a business perspective as well as the  expectations of external actors – both from the perspective of current dynamics of European integration and global institutional processes – have been reflected.
