3s is currently partner in two European projects, developing competence matrices in the “Care Sector”.

The CARER+ project aims to equip EU care workers and caregivers with the required set of digital competences that will allow them to support older people in their use of ICT and AAL technologies (Ambient Assisted Living) that will enhance their professional status and impact positively on the quality of life, autonomy and safety of those in their care as well as to be more active in society, enhancing and diversifying their opportunities for EU mobility, employability and personal and professional development. In the NoBoMa project a competence matrix for the “Elderly Care” and a future competence matrix of success in “Elderly Care” was developed in which future competence requirements for elderly caregivers are displayed. On the basis of the NoBoMa Future Competence Matrix of Success, a Self-Assessment Tool was developed to be used by elderly caregivers, learners and HR-departments in order to evaluate the quality of individual skills and competences. Furthermore, a multilingual database providing useful information about how to compensate deficits identified by the Self-Assessment Tool will be developed in the frame of the project. In both projects recently the competence matrices, for which 3s was responsible, were finalised (you find further information here).
