This year’s ECVET network meeting took place in Thessaloniki, Greece. Once per year, this meeting brings together the ECVET Users’ Group and the coordinators of national teams of ECVET experts to discuss current topics related to the implementation of the European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET).
One of the guiding topics of this event was the future of ECVET and on a broader note the future of vocational education and training (VET). Cedefop’s (European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training) Anastasia Pouliou presented the key outcomes of their ‘Changing Nature and Role of VET in Europe’ study.
3s’ Monika Auzinger presented a set of potential options for the future of ECVET that were developed within a study carried out on behalf of the European Commission. Karin Luomi-Messerer (also 3s) and Monika Auzinger were part of the core team to organise and run this event. 3s is part of the ECVET Secretariat (coordinated by ICF Consulting) which supports the European Commission in the implementation of ECVET.
Comprehensive documentation on the event is available on the ECVET Secretariat website.
