February 2011: At Cedefop’s Expert Conference on Skills Forecast, 3s presented the AMS-Skills-Barometer, an alternative to surveys on qualification needs on national and regional level, based on qualitative methods.
In its methodology it differs to the usual econometric models of Cedefop’s Skillsnet. Especially the possibilities of combining qualitative and quantitative methods of forecast as well as questions of description of results for broad user groups were in the focus of the 3s presentation.
