The 102/2017 edition of the ‛OeAD news‘ (Austrian Agency for International Mobility and Cooperation in Education, Science and Research) is related to the 2017 Erasmus jubilee.
It focuses on the topic ‛From Erasmus to Erasmus+: a 30 years success story‘ and the articles refer, for example, to the European dimension in school-based education or the Austrian VET (Vocational Education and Training) in a European future.
Among others, best practice examples from Erasmus+ and previous programmes are being presented. For the VET sector, the ‛VQTS’ (Vocational Qualification Transfer System) projects (coordinated by 3s) are highlighted because of their broad and sustainable impact. The VQTS model was closely related to the testing of ECVET, the European Credit System of Vocational Education and Training. It received a number of awards and was used in several European projects (transfer of innovation).
The current OeAD news edition therefore presents an article by Karin Luomi-Messerer (3s) entitled ‘A transfer model for VET. Using the Vocational Qualification Transfer Model for mapping and comparing qualifications from different countries‘.
