The ‘Analysis of the Continuing Vocational Training and Adult Education Surveys’ project aimed to provide a comprehensive panorama of continuing vocational education in Europe, exploring the newly available waves of the two most important surveys in this field (Continuing Vocational Training Survey 4 and Adult Education Survey 2).

Beyond indicators on participation in Continuing Vocational Training (CVT), the project focused on the organisational behaviour of enterprises in the field of CVT and the funding sources for CVT in cross-country comparative perspective.

The project included three main steps. In a first report, methodological changes between the survey waves as well as the quality of the achieved output were analysed. The second report drew a comprehensive picture of CVT in cross-country comparative perspective. In the third report, further in-depth analysis based on the analysis of the micro data sets was provided, demonstrating the analytical power of the two surveys for research and policy consultation.
