Education for Sustainable Development in European VET – 2nd EXPECT Newsletter published
The Erasmus+ project EXPECT collects examples of good practice on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in VET. The project partners from seven EU countries exchange their practices in Peer Learning Activities (PLAs).

The two-year research project EXPECT (EXchanges of Practices in Education for Climate Targets) is dedicated to the topic of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in vocational education and training. Under the leadership of the coordinating partner MBO Raad from the Netherlands, the project participants from Austria, Finland, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK are pursuing the goal of exchanging examples of good practice on sustainable education approaches and projects in VET. This is done by means of Peer Learning Activities, in which the respective education and vocational training systems are presented and best practice examples of innovative forms of learning and school projects on the topic of sustainability are highlighted.
The 2nd EXPECT newsletter gives an overview of the last three PLAs that had to take place online due to COVID restrictions. Apart from presenting the country-specific VET systems, different approaches to Education for Sustainable Development in VET in the Netherlands, Austria and Spain were presented. At the next PLA in November, the UK will take centre stage.
