This project sought to promote social inclusion of competent yet ‘officially’ unqualified workers within the European labour market.
Therefore, a methodological framework to legitimise informal and non-formal learning was developed with a ‘Lifepass’ valid throughout Europe. The ‘Lifepass’ consists of a ‘digitally stored, transportable portfolio’ and an accompanying ‘manual’ for implementing the validation process. In order to support social inclusion, it was important to ensure that the methodological framework can be applied for different vocational sectors and competence levels in diverse countries. The project was coordinated by the Malta Qualifications Council.
