3s at the VPL Biennale 2019 in Berlin

The 3rd VPL Biennale (Validation of Prior Learning) aimed at strengthening the platform for policy makers, practitioners, users, researchers and other stakeholders that are involved in further developing & implementing Validation of Prior Learning.

17. May 2019

The VPL Biennale was about sharing knowledge, ideas and visions on VPL and about the creative process of learning from each other’s successes, problems and solutions in ‘the VPL-world’. At the end of the event, the Berlin Declaration on Validation was adopted, which sets the standard for validation systems worldwide. Invited presentations in four workshops for each of the six policy areas laid the foundation for this declaration:

  1. organisational design
  2. financing
  3. procedures and instruments
  4. support structures
  5. post validation paths
  6. legal basis

Mariya Dzhengozova (3s) presented outcomes of a Cedefop study on validation and career guidance.
