The aim of this training programme was to learn about and apply tools for competence documentation, which were developed and tested in the ESF project ‘Bildungsberatung in Wien‘ (‘Educational Guidance in Vienna‘, 2008 – 2010).

The training programme addressed educational, vocational guidance and career guidance counsellors, who had the possibility to adapt the relevant tools (e.g. interview guide, questionnaires, checklists) to their respective target group(s) or organisation. The main target audience for the use of these tools were individuals who have acquired competences which were not documented, or which they themselves are not aware of. The method focused on guided self-evaluation, i.e. counsellors assisted the individuals in identifying and evaluating their own competences. The training programme was held in cooperation with Ring Österreichischer Bildungswerke and biv-integrativ.
