The Erasmus+ project ICT-INEX – (INclude the EXcluded, project duration: 2016-2018, participating EU countries: Poland, Finland and Austria) aims to improve labour market access and the effectiveness of education and training for professional drivers using ICT-based tools.
In this project, the needs of disadvantaged groups on the labour market (young people under 30 years of age, long-term unemployed from the group 50plus and migrants) will be surveyed in particular. The respective challenges, access barriers and available solutions will be analysed in order to develop a training model for future professional drivers using innovative ICT solutions (e.g. Virtual Reality or Gamification). The expected project results should contribute to combating the current labour shortage in the goods and passenger transport sector.
On 13 December 2018, a conference took place in Jaworzno, Poland, as part of the fifth ICT-INEX project partner meeting. The conference is entitled “HOW TO OVERCOME THE PROFESSIONAL DRIVER SHORTAGE? – Methods of supporting socially disadvantaged groups (NEETs, 50+, migrants) using ICT-based training“. First project results were presented and their practicability was discussed with experts, company representatives and stakeholders in the goods and passenger transport sector from Poland, Finland and Austria.
3s (Sabine Schwenk) is a project partner and presented first research results on the individual access barriers and solutions for the disadvantaged target groups.
