IVET teachers have to keep up to date with developments in enterprises, new technologies and innovation in working practices and bring learning closer to the world of work.
This study had two key purposes: (1) to understand and identify how Member States monitor the vocational competences of IVET teachers. That is, how the eventual obsolescence of knowledge and skills of VET teachers is monitored in each country; and (2) to understand and identify how Member States help IVET teachers update their vocational knowledge and skills and what initiatives are pursued in each country to bring VET teaching closer to the labour market. 3s was contracted by GHK Consulting Ltd (BE) for contributing to the Austrian report and for identifying and developing relevant case studies in Austria.
