The European project ECVET-Lab addresses a big challenge: providing opportunities for laboratory workers when it comes to recognizing and validating competences acquired in the workplace or through alternative learning pathways.
The project intends to develop an online training course through an OER (Open Educational Resources) Learning Platform promoting the need for sustainable development of the sector of laboratories of environmental testing. Through this platform, laboratory technicians will have the chance to obtain and strengthen high quality work-based skills and competences in order to comply with a Qualification Standard/ Competence Profile.
ECVET-Lab includes 7 partners, representing 25 different countries and 21 EU countries as well as associated countries thanks to the EU level organisation ‘EUROLAB‘ (European Federation of National Associations of Measurement, Testing and Analytical Laboratories).
The 2nd ECVET-Lab Newsletter talks about recent project activities, especially focus group meetings in Cyprus, Spain, and Poland.
