The European Commission has adopted a proposal for a Council Recommendation on tracking graduates in order to encourage and support Member State authorities to improve the quality and availability of information on what graduates go on to do after leaving higher education or vocational training.
Among others, the proposal recommends that the Commission ‘provides capacity building support in vocational education and training, as needed, for the establishment of graduate tracking systems, based on good practices identified through a comprehensive mapping across Member States, and facilitates cooperation among authorities, providers of vocational education and training and guidance services with regards to the use of graduate tracking data’.
The mapping study mentioned in the proposal is currently being conducted by ICF (BE) in cooperation with 3s.
