The theme of the European Conference is ‚A Sectorial Qualifications Framework: orientation guide in a logistics working environment 4.0?‘

The Logistics sector is one of the most important European sectors (employing around 10 million people) and the one experiencing the biggest changes caused by globalization, technological progress and advanced business processes which see logistics operating across supply chains.

The project METALOG has come up with a Europe-wide Logistics Qualifications Framework which serves the target groups concerned as a referencing tool in their recruitment activities on the one hand and as a useful tool for the development of career and learning paths for various occupational profiles within logistic companies on the other.
In addition, the METALOG project laid the foundations for a European stakeholder network on qualification within the Transport and Logistics sector. The network includes stakeholders at political level, social partners, experts and training providers, as well as representatives of logistics companies.

At the conference taht took place September 15, 2015  in Hamburg (DE) participants from the fields of education, industry and politics learned about the scope of services of the Sectorial Qualifications Framework in the context of logistics working environment shaped by 4.0 technology and discussed first steps in putting the framework into practice.
