Educating Rita revisited – New paper on outreach and empowerment for vulnerable adult learners!
For effectively reaching out and supporting vulnerable groups in entering adult learning, a tense network of support und counselling opportunities is required. Only by coordinating multiple types of provision, support needed by disadvantaged adults for tackling continuously arising new challenges will reach them in time.

The paper (in German) by Günter Hefler, based on a presentation given at a conference on motivation for and barriers to adult learning on 5th of June 2013 in Vienna, highlights key finding of the project "Empowerment for Knowledge – Support of informal work-related learning and training-motivation of people excluded from continuing education in Vienna", initiated and sponsored by the MA 27: EU-Strategy and Economic Development.
