Opening of labour markets and educational systems – Contributions to research in vocational education and training
Migration, mobility and integration and the resulting need for opening labour markets and educational systems represent great challenges for Austria but also for the European Union. The 1st Austrian Conference on VET Research focused on this topic as the main theme and also provided an overview of Austrian research activities in vocational education and training as well as in related areas.

The 1st Austrian Conference on VET Research focused on this topic as the main theme and also provided an overview of Austrian research activities in vocational education and training as well as in related areas.
The publication comprises selected conference papers related to the main conference theme and also papers on other topics, such as the interface between studying and professional work, disadvantaged youth, description and measurement of competences, education and training for health professions, further education and personnel development.
