The Strategy aims at coordinating and integrating activities in various policy fields with the goal to make lifelong learning a reality across the whole life span, from early childhood education to continuing education after retirement.
The implementation of the strategy is monitored on a yearly base. For the years 2016 and 2017, 3s took responsibility for supporting the monitoring. Furthermore, a stock taking exercise was implemented, reporting on progress made up to the end of 2018 against the backdrop of goals defined in the strategy. Based on this interim evaluation, recommendations were developed for the remaining life-time of the strategy and for a possible follow-up strategy in the years to come.
