Monitoring of the ‘Vienna Weeks of Vocational Guidance and Education 2016’ (‘Wiener Wochen für Beruf und Ausbildung 2016’)
The ‘Vienna Weeks’ are a framework for outreach activities coordinated by the Vienna Employment Promotion Fund (‘Wiener ArbeitnehmerInnen Förderungsfonds’). In 2016, activities mainly targeted young people and young adults between the age of 13 and 25. 3s implemented the monitoring of the activities and provided estimations on visitors numbers and the social composition of the participants. Moreover, for a sample, follow-up interviews were implemented three months after the event gaining information about the steps taken since the participation.
Evidence collected showed that the framework of the ‘Wiener Wochen’ and its various activities actually reached out to the targeted groups. Based on statistical analysis, on-site visits at 25 events and follow-up interviews, recommendations for the future development of the ‘Wiener Wochen’ were developed.
