The aim of this study was to develop a broad overview of the current supply of and demand for tertiary STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) graduates in EU Member States.

Across the EU, concerns have been raised by industrial and scientific bodies about shortages of qualified professionals in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields. This study thus  identified overall trends in projected demand and supply for graduates from different STEM disciplines and carried out a more detailed analysis of the situation in six case study Member States. The study was coordinated by DTI (DK).
