The Commission asked for continued assistance in connection with the implementation of the EQF and the Recommendation on validation.

This assistance focused on the provision of expert support to the EQF Advisory Group and its subgroups. The activities carried out during the current assignment included:

– preparing minutes of the EQF Advisory Group and EQF National Contact Points meetings,

– providing support to Peer Learning Activities (PLA) on EQF-related topics,

– providing support to the ‘external dimension’ of the EQF (investigating possible technical alignments between the EQF and qualifications frameworks from outside Europe),

– undertaking a survey and research on International Sectoral Qualifications, – preparing a background paper on ‘Recognition’ of qualifications in education systems and at the labour market.

The assignment was coordinated by 3s; Monika Auzinger and Karin Luomi-Messerer were the main experts involved.
